History
The SFI holding company brings together a number of businesses with a long history behind them. The company’s single corporate center, which combines financial assets that had previously been developed independently into a single portfolio, was created in 2016. The holding company acquired its current name and structure in 2017, when the Europlan operating leasing company completed its spin-off from the public joint-stock company and SFI focused on the strategic management of the holding company’s assets and the development of the asset portfolio in general.
1992
The VSK Insurance Company is founded.
1999
Europlan is founded (up until 2004, the company is known as DeltaLeasing).
2012
The Education and Science private pension fund becomes part of the group’s portfolio.
2013
The European Pension Fund is acquired.
2014
The REGIONFOND private pension fund is acquired.
2015
The Europlan leasing company is acquired. Europlan launches an IPO on the Moscow Exchange. The Raiffeisen private pension fund is acquired and renamed the SAFMAR private pension fund.
2016
A minority stake (49% of shares) in the VSK Insurance Company is acquired. The three private pension funds acquired between 2012 and 2014 are merged with the SAFMAR private pension fund. PJSC Europlan launches an SPO.
2017
The holding company’s leasing business is spun off into a separate subsidiary operating company, the Europlan leasing company. PJSC Europlan is renamed to PJSC SAFMAR Financial Investments.
2018
The SAFMAR Financial Investments holding company acquires the Doverie private pension fund and a 75% stake in Direct Credit Center LLC (a credit broker operating under the Direct Credit brand). The corporatized Mospromstroy-Fond private pension fund also becomes part of the holding company.
2019
The Doverie private pension fund is merged with the SAFMAR private pension fund. A three-year share buyback program is launched.
2020
The SAFMAR Financial Investments holding company acquires a 10% stake in PJSC M.Video.
2021
SFI reduces its presence on the private pension fund market by selling the SAFMAR private pension fund to the Region investment group. The holding company diversifies the industry distribution of the portfolio by acquiring a large minority stake in PJSC RussNeft. The holding company acquires a 51% stake in the GFN.RU cloud gaming service. The holding company changes its name to PJSC SFI.
